At Greenbank Family Dental, we believe a lifetime of healthy smiles starts with positive early dental experiences. Our kid-friendly dental team helps little ones feel safe, supported, and even excited about visiting the dentist. Recognised locally and across the Logan region for our gentle, child-focused care — and proud winners of the 2025 Logan Business Distinction Award for Medical and Healthcare. — Greenbank Family Dental continues to set the standard for children’s dentistry in Greenbank and nearby communities.

Why Kids (and Parents) Feel Comfortable Here.

For many children, the dentist can feel like a big, unfamiliar place.
That’s why we focus on building trust first — and treatment second.

Many parents tell us their child was nervous before their visit… and proud afterwards.

From the moment your child steps into our clinic, they’ll be welcomed with warm smiles, calming surroundings, and gentle care tailored to their age and personality. Whether it’s their first visit or a routine check-up, we use a kind, compassionate approach with language they understand—no scary words, ever!

"It’s completely normal for children to feel unsure. We take things slowly and make every step gentle."

✅ Gentle, Pressure-Free Visits

We take our time. If your child needs a break, we pause. If they need to sit on your lap, that’s okay too.

✅ We Explain Everything in Child-Friendly Language

We explain things in simple, friendly ways — no scary words, no surprises.

✅ Positive First Experiences

Our goal isn’t just healthy teeth — it’s helping children grow up confident about dental care.

✅ Calm, Supportive Team

From the front desk to the treatment room, we create an environment where children feel safe and parents feel heard.

We’re also proud to offer:

  • Distraction tools like ceiling TVs, toys, and storybooks

  • Friendly clinicians trained in paediatric behavioural techniques

  • Rewards and stickers to celebrate brave visits!

First Dental Visit – What to Expect

A child’s first dental visit can feel like a big milestone — for both parents and little ones.

Our goal is to make it calm, gentle and positive.

There are no rushed appointments. No pressure. And absolutely no judgement — just a relaxed introduction to caring for their smile.

We generally recommend a first visit around their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. Early visits help children feel comfortable in the dental environment and allow us to identify any concerns early.

Here’s what happens during a first visit — step by step:

LOOK

  • Take a gentle look at their teeth, gums, and bite

CHECK

  • Check for early signs of decay or developmental issues

ADVICE

  • Offer personalised advice on brushing, teething, and nutrition

ANSWER

  • Answer any questions you have—no question is too small!

Preventative Dental Care for Kids

Our focus is on prevention, so your child can enjoy strong, healthy teeth as they grow. Our paediatric dental services include:

We bulk bill eligible children under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)—ask us if your child qualifies.

Healthy Smiles. Bright Futures.

A community initiative by Greenbank Family Dental.

Building Healthy Smiles Beyond Our Practice

At Greenbank Family Dental, we believe creating healthier smiles begins long before someone sits in a dental chair.

Through education, prevention and meaningful community partnerships, we're helping people develop the confidence, knowledge and habits that support lifelong oral health.

That's why our commitment extends well beyond our practice. By working alongside schools, childcare centres, workplaces, sporting clubs, aged care communities and local organisations, we're making oral healthcare more accessible, engaging and community-focused than ever before.

Because when healthier smiles become part of everyday life, everyone benefits.

Mobile Community Dental Program

Bringing Oral Health Back Into Our Community

Our Mobile Community Dental Program is one way Greenbank Family Dental is helping create healthier communities through prevention, education and trusted partnerships.

Working alongside schools, childcare centres, aged care communities and local organisations, we're bringing oral health education, preventive dental care and positive dental experiences closer to where people live, learn and connect.

The program is supported by our permanent Greenbank practice, creating a connected pathway of care for families throughout our community.
