From One Chair to Many Smiles: Celebrating 5 Years of Greenbank Family Dental

Five years ago, it all began with a leap of faith. Pioneer Health, our local medical practice and family doctor, offered space for us to start something new. With just one chair, an idea, and a deep belief that dentistry could be different, Greenbank Family Dental opened its doors.
We didn’t know what would follow. But what we found was magic: a community that believed in us, patients who trusted us, and a vision that grew stronger with each smile we cared for.
Humble Beginnings, Strong Foundations
What started as a one-chair practice has grown into a two-chair clinic that’s already outgrown its walls. By 2026, we’ll expand to four chairs — a milestone that reflects not just growth, but the trust of families who continue to choose us, generation after generation.
Along the way, our values never shifted. We always wanted Greenbank Family Dental to be a place where patients feel heard, cared for, and valued — not rushed through. As Dr Dan often says:

Greenbank Family Dental was never meant to be just about dentistry. With Dr Dan’s background in counselling and social work, our mission has always been about wellbeing, confidence, and connection.
That’s why we’ve planted 139 trees through our Healthy Smiles, Healthy Forests program — a promise that every smile we care for gives something back to the world around us.
It’s also why we offer solutions like MAS therapy for sleep apnoea and community outreach programs like Captain Clean Tooth. For us, dentistry is a doorway to health, confidence, and quality of life.
The People Who Make It Possible
I (Emmanuel) joined Greenbank Family Dental in late 2024. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I could see the foundation Dr Dan and his family had created — a loyal patient base, a practice grounded in trust, and a model of dentistry that practitioners want to be part of.
For me, coming from a business background, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see how values like transparency, care, and community can be just as powerful in healthcare as in any other industry. At GFD, these values aren’t just words — they’re lived by every team member, every day.
Looking Forward: The Next Chapter
As we celebrate five years, we know this is just the beginning. In 2026, we’ll open our four-chair expansion. We’ll keep planting trees, keep listening, and keep ensuring that every patient feels like family.
Becoming a finalist in the Logan Business Distinction Awards in our very first attempt was proof that good business, good people, and good care resonate far beyond the walls of a practice.
